The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination is an annual examination conducted in Singapore. The examinations are jointly set, mainly by the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) and the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE). The qualification is recognised internationally and is accepted for entry in many tertiary institutions around the world, including the junior colleges and polytechnics in Singapore. Touchstone International Institute has specially designed an effective Preparatory Course to help students pass the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination. The main objective of this programme is to prepare both local and foreign students to sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination. Students who have passed and obtained good grades will be able to gain entry into Singapore’s Junior Colleges and polytechnics as well as other colleges and universities overseas. The aim is to ensure that students eventually gain their university degrees that will aid their entry into the working world. Students will go through a customised and structured intensive programme that will better equip them with knowledge and skills needed to meet the standards for entering Singapore’s mainstream government schools. The subjects that are taught follow the Ministry of Education (Singapore)’s syllabuses closely.

- Additional Mathematics
- Combined Science (Chemistry/ Physics)
- Principles of Accounting
- Chinese Language

Course Admission Requirements:Students should be at least 15 years old by 1st January of the year of examination. Students will be required to attain 50% or more for Touchstone International Institute Upper Secondary English Placement Exam.
Course Commencement Period:At the beginning of every month. Students commencing their course after March may only be registered for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) examination in the following year.

Mode of Assessment
Internal Assessment:Quarterly Assessment Tests will be conducted.
External Assessment:Students can register for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination - GCE O Level Chinese Language Examination will be conducted between June to July; - GCE O Level English Oral Examination will be conducted in August; and - Examinations for all other GCE O Level subjects will be held between October to November.
Course CompletionStudents may take the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination
Requirement for Course CompletionStudents must achieve at least 90% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason.
Type of QualificationSingapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Certificate awarded by the Ministry of Education, Singapore and University of Cambridge International Examinations, after successful completion of GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations.

Course FeesThe Committee for Private Education (CPE) has regulatory provisions and requirements to protect course fees that are payable by students who are enrolled in a private education institution (PEI).
TSI subscribes to these regulatory provisions and requirements in its collection of fees from full-time students.
