On 2nd September 2020, TSI celebrated Teacher’s Day. Our Principal Mr Gan, took the opportunity to honor the teachers for their strong dedication and support towards shaping and nurturing out students and TSI as a whole. Our students from respective classes gave handmade Teacher’s Day card, appreciating the teachers for their tolerance, commitment, and guidance towards them. It was a heartwarming moment for teachers as they received their cards from their beloved students.
TSI celebrated the birthday of staffs who were born in the month of September. Our Birthday babies made their silent wishes and on this wonderful day, TSI wishes them good luck and health and may all their dreams and desires come true.
The 2020 Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) was conducted on 22, 23 and 24th September 2020. This centralized admissions exercise targets international students who wish to join Singapore's mainstream primary and secondary schools in January 2021. This year, TSI sent students for the 2020 AEIS for all levels – Primary
4/5 and Secondary 1/2/3.
To prepare our students for the 2020 AEIS, the Academic Department started intensive AEIS revision through revision packs for English and Mathematics; and conducted numerous mock tests since July 2020.
Our AEIS Programme Coordinator Ms June also met students at the examination venue before the start of their papers to show her support and boost the confidence of the students. At the end of the three days 2020 AEIS, students gave encouraging feedback on the questions they had to complete. We wish all the students the best of luck when the results are released on December 2020!
In order to further engage and accelerate our students understanding and learning, TSI teachers have alternatively delved into Cambridge books, which can aid them in their lesson delivery as well as preparing customized teaching package in future.
An English corner is set up in the ‘O’ level classroom for our students, mainly as a motivation in the learning of English and also in taking pride of their work that are showcased there. Our English teacher Ms Elizabeth has placed invaluable materials, for instance, ways on tackling situational writings as well as grammar rules that can assist our students in their daily usage.
