Trial of Online Lessons

Prior to the kick start of Home-Based Learning (HBL) nationwide, trial lessons were conducted in TSI on the 4th April 2020 to preempt any teething issues such as disruptions in students learning when conducting online. TSI Teachers and Lecturers engaged with students via designated platforms, for instance: Zoom for video conferencing and Google Classroom for doing their assignments. Students were guided with procedures to log on to the teaching platforms with various digital devices (smartphones, iPad, and Laptops) accordingly. Lessons for the whole day were conducted online. The trial was a successful one for TSI indeed, as we garnered positive reviews from our students.

Lunch Treat & Issuance of Masks

As part of heightened safe distancing measures during the COVID- 19 circuit breaker, all educational institutes are to shift to full Home Based Learning from 8th April 2020. As such, to provide support and encouragement for TSI Students and Staff, lunch was catered by the CEO for all on 7th April 2020.

Our Principal, Mr. Gan advised on practicing good hygiene, social distancing, staying safe, and wished all of us good health during this time of uncertainty.

Face Masks were issued to all students and staff by our CEO, Mdm Ming, and our Principal, Mr. Gan. We look forward to seeing our TSI family back in pink of health once the circuit breaker period ends.

Home-Based Learning

From 8th April 2020, TSI has switched to full Home-Based Learning (HBL) as Singapore enhances safe distancing measures in the battle against the coronavirus outbreak. Students and teachers have now adapted to the new routines of teaching and learning.
Daily classes now consist of Online lessons and Assignments.

During this period, teachers keep track of their students’ progress where weaker students receive immediate face to face answers to their questions from their teachers. Students log onto Google Classroom for their daily assignments to be done, as posted by their subject teachers. All online assignments are marked digitally, while hardcopy assignments are photographed and uploaded, which teachers can retrieve and mark.

During this Circuit Breaker period, we are satisfied to see our students being more responsible and independent in their learning.
