Course Information:

The Cambridge Primary is a world-class curriculum designed for students between the age of 6 to 12 years old to develop their skills and understanding in English, Mathematics and Science by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) , the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications that prepare students with the essential knowledge and skills to prosper in the real-world and at the same time, help them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning.

Touchstone International Institute’s Cambridge Primary (Year 1 to 5) and Cambridge Primary with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint (Year 6) programme aims to develop and provide international students with a strong academic foundation and lifelong learning skills that would enable their smooth transition from primary to secondary education. The Cambridge Primary Progression Tests (conducted at the end of each academic year from Year 1 to 5) and Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination (conducted at the end of Year 6) assess the students’ learning and provides an international benchmark

Internal Assessment:
  • Quarterly Assessment Tests will be conducted for English, Mathematics, Science (for Year 3 to 6 courses) and Chinese (if the module is opted by the student).
  • Project assignments would be used for assessment for the module Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives, Aesthetics and Physical Education
External Assessment:

Student enrolled in the Cambridge Primary with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint (Year 6) can register for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examination conducted in October annually by Cambridge Assessment International Education.

Course Completion

Students may take the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examination conducted in October annually by Cambridge Assessment International Education at the end of the Cambridge Primary with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint (Year 6).

Requirement for Course Completion

  • Students must achieve at least 90% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason.
  • Students must achieve an average score of 50% or more in TSI Quarterly Tests.

Type of Qualification

  • Students who have fulfilled the course completion requirements for Cambridge Primary (Year 1 to 5) or Cambridge Primary with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint (Year 6) would be awarded the Certificate of Course Completion for Cambridge Primary (Year 1 to 5) by Touchstone International Institute.
  • Students who have sat for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examination would be awarded with the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint – Statement of Achievement by Cambridge Assessment International Education..

The 3 (three) types of fee chargeable by TSI are:

Application Fee

A one-time application fee is non – refundable.
Payment modes: Cash, cheque, remittance/telegraphic transfer, bank draft, cashier’s order.
Payable to: Touchstone International Institute Pte Ltd.

Course Fees

The Council for Private Education (CPE) has regulatory provisions and requirements to protect course fees that are payable by students who are enrolled in a private education institution (PEI).

The course fee is refundable and will be subjected to TSI refund policy.
